Data Retention

Enquiry and quote data is kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact unless an active client relationship continues. Measured survey files and layout drawings are retained for 36 months after project completion to support revision requests and contractor queries. Invoices and related correspondence are retained for the period required by Portuguese commercial and tax law (typically 10 years). Marketing consent records are kept until you withdraw consent plus a short audit period. Technical logs may be retained for up to 12 months for security purposes. Property access codes or condomínio keys log entries are deleted within 30 days of the final site visit unless ongoing work continues.

Who We Share Data With

We share personal data only as needed with:

• Hosting, email and form processing providers acting as processors under Article 28 GDPR agreements
• Payment service providers for card and bank transactions
• Structural engineers or licensing consultants when you authorise referral for load-bearing wall assessment or Câmara Municipal submission support
• Contractors and carpenters when you request direct drawing delivery (limited to project contact and address details)
• Professional advisors (accountant, legal counsel) where necessary
• Public authorities including Câmara Municipal do Porto when legally obliged

We do not sell personal data. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

International Transfers

Where tools or hosts process data outside the European Economic Area, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, supplementary measures where required, or rely on an adequacy decision. You may request details of transfers relevant to your data by contacting us.

Security

We apply technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk, including access controls on atelier systems, encrypted transmission where available, staff confidentiality training and limited access to property addresses and survey files. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data by unencrypted email.

Your Rights Under the GDPR

Depending on circumstances, you may have the right to:
